Winter Weather Advisory for North Alabama

TENNESSEE VALLEY-The Tennessee Valley is under a Winter Weather Advisory with light snowfall with accumulations around 1 to 2 inches.

The snow should begin around 6:00Pm Sunday, January 2 and continue through Monday ending around 3:00Am.  Expect slippery road conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses.

This advisory is for Lauderdale-Colbert-Franklin AL-Marshall-DeKalb-Cullman-Including the cities of Florence, Muscle Shoals, Sheffield,
Tuscumbia, Russellville, Red Bay, Albertville, Boaz, Guntersville, Arab, Fort Payne, Rainsville, and Cullman.

In some areas snow could be heavy from 2 to 3 inches of snow and travel could be difficult.

This advisory for Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Morgan and Jackson counties. In Tennessee, Moore, Lincoln and Franklin TN counties.

This front could have strong winds shifting out of the north/northwest dropping temperatures into the 20s.

Dress warmly and allow for extra travel time.
