Graveside services for Mr. Thomas “Shorty” Ashmore, age 75, are scheduled for 1 PM, Monday, December 27, 2021 at Sardis Cemetery. Pafford Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Ashmore passed away on Sunday in Somerville. He was born September 15, 1946 in Memphis to the late Tommy and Grace Winnard Ashmore. He was a U. S. Army and National Guard Veteran and a retired trailer mechanic for Wabash Trailers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Betty Melton Ashmore. Survivors include his two sons, Bobby Ashmore and Thomas Ashmore, Jr.; his daughter, Crystal Florez (Michael); two sisters, Donna Ashmore and Ruth Ann Ashmore; two grandchildren, Justin Huggins (Paige) and Bethany Dalton (Matthew); and four great grandchildren, Ephriam, Amias, and Kali Huggins, and Leo Dalton.
