Funeral Services for Mr. Dennis East, age 70 of Lineville, will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. at New Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Bain, Bro. Alan Hurst, and Rev. Roger Griffith officiating. Burial will follow at the Lineville City Cemetery.
Mr. East passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at the Clay County Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Clay County, and after graduating from Lineville High School, attended Southern Union for 2 years, and Jacksonville State University for one year. After his time at JSU, he began working in construction building Gas Stations. He then started his own constructions business, Dennis East Construction, where he worked as a contractor for 40 years. Mr. East enjoyed fishing, Hunting, Gardening, and watching Auburn football. He was a member of new fellowship Baptist church.
Mr. East is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rozelle Yates East of Lineville; one daughter, Ramona Diamond (Bradley) of Roanoke; two sons: Richard Forte (Christy) and Robert Forte (Gina), both of
Lineville; 7 grandchildren: Kasey Clark (Adam), Kayla Garcia (Jeremy), Benjamin Diamond, Emilee Diamond, Jordan Howard, Colton Diamond (Samantha), and Addison Belcher; 8 great-grandchildren: Addison, Evan, Rebekah, Annabelle, Rhett, Charlotte, Dakota, and Abigail; one sister, Kathy East of McDonough, GA plus extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Johnny East and Ina Lee McKay East; one son, David East; one grandson, Trey Young; and one sister, Janice Hill.
Active Pallbearers will be Evan Clark, Bruce Boyd, Ray Headrick, Danny Fincher, Randy Fincher, Ben Diamond, Adam Clark, and Jeremy Garcia.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Harris, Mitchell McKay, Ronnie Kyser, Roger Harris, Bloyce Harris, and Dwight McVey.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 3:00 P.M.
