Colonel Edward Kozack, 67 of Athens, passed away Tuesday October 26, 2021, at Birmingham VA Medical Center. Colonel Edward Kozack was born January 26, 1954, in Ohio to Edward Kozack and Roxey E. Beavers Kozack. His parents and one sister, Debbie Haxon precede him in death.

He was a Colonel and Master Aviator in the U.S. Army. Colonel Kozack served in the Army for 43 years. He was a 4th degree Knight at the Most Merciful Jesus Catholic Church in Madison.

Survivors include his wife, Tracy Kozack; one daughter, Jessica Kozack; two sons, David Kozack and Lance Kozack; one stepson, Evan Innerarity; four stepdaughters, Cherryl Carver (Shane), Diane Raber, Myka Kerr (Colin), Tara Schneider (Jason); brother, Donnie L. Reed (Cherie L.); sixteen grandchildren: Izzy Kozack, Jordan Kozack, Kai Kozack, Ayden Carver, Greyson Carver, Waylon Carver, Tatum Carver, Emerson Carver, Aydon Kerr, Joylin Kerr, Mckenzie Kerr, Scarlet Schneider, Halle Schneider, Pearce Schneider, Alysha Atkins, and Brandon Raber; three great-grandchildren: Austin, Payton, Lennon.

There will be a Celebration of Life with military honors at the Merciful Jesus Catholic Church, 10509 Segers Rd, Madison, AL 35756 on Saturday November 6, 2021, at 10:30am. The family will begin receiving friends at 10:00am.
