Mildred McAninch went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 22. Born in Cherokee County on July 5, 1931, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert McAninch, parents James Elmus Mote and Wiillie Maebelle Pruitt Mote, and siblings Christine Morrison, Herman Mote, Ernest Frank Mote, Lillian Reed, and James Clifford Mote. She is survived by her son, Ernest McAninch (Lee Ann McAninch) of The Villages, FL and her daughter, Lisa McAninch of Gadsden. Also granddaughters Kristie Valentine (Ryan Valentine) and Julia Holliman (Paige Holliman) – great grandchildren Shane Valentine, Austin Valentine, Grey Holliman and numerous nieces & nephews. Mildred was a long time member at North Gadsden Baptist Church, and loved her Lord and church family. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the North Gadsden Baptist Church 338 Ewing Ave. Gadsden, AL 35901.
