Sam McCord, age 69, of Hornsby, passed from this life early Friday morning, October 22, 2021.
Born in Jackson, TN, September 13, 1952, to Elvis Roy McCord and Martha Estel Oakley Liggett, he was a long-time truck driver for B & C Trucking. His special companion was his dog, Tiny. Mr. McCord lived most of his life in Hardeman County.
Survivors include his son Jason McCord and his wife Jackie of Middleton; his mother, Martha Estel Oakley Liggett; four sisters, Pat Doles, Frieda Goodman, Carlita Davis, and Lisa Day all of Texas; two brothers, George Liggett of Jackson, TN and Chris McCord of Texas; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
