Mark Fields, age 43, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, and a journeyman lineman for Lawrenceburg Utility Systems. He was also a member of IBEW Local 429 in Nashville, TN, and Mars Hill United Methodist Church. Mark was an avid dirt track racer.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Allen and Louise Moses; and his paternal grandparents, Oliver and Odell Fields.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Candice Fields of Lawrenceburg, TN; one daughter, Carley Fields and one son, Braden Fields, both of Lawrenceburg, TN; his parents, Harold “Shorty” and Ruth Fields of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister, Malinda and John Huntley of Lawrenceburg, TN; five nieces, Abby Carsen Huntley, Kendall Stutts, Kinlee Stutts, Reagan Stutts, and Charlee Shaw; two nephews, Carter Huntley and Emmett Shaw; mother-in-law, Jane Phillips of Lawrenceburg, TN; and In-laws, Dustin and Beth Stutts, and Eddie and Josie Shaw, all of Loretto, TN
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at Mars Hill Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 24, 2021, with Billy Beal and David Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Mars Hill Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Mark Fields Memorial Scholarship Fund at First Farmers and Merchants Bank.
