Reverend “Jim” Eugene Allen Kilpatrick, age 83 of Boaz passed away Monday, October 18, 2021 at Shepherds Cove Hospice.
Jim married Joan Pullen on November 23, 1963; they have been married 57 years. He has been in the ministry for 51 years, during that time he pastored seven churches. He was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife; Joan Pullen Kilpatrick, daughters; Connie Higgins and Pam (Troy) Rogers, son; Chad (Mandy) Kilpatrick, grandchildren; Jensen (Devin) Buchheister, Mason (Sydney) Rogers, Peyton (Kyle) Williams, Morgan (Joe) Hamilton, Maddie Higgins, Callie Rogers, Clay and Davis Kilpatrick, and great-grandchildren; Knox and Lakely Williams, Hayes Hamilton and Nolan Buchheister.
He is preceded in death by his parents; John Henry and Bessie Moody Kilpatrick, brothers; Cotton, Bo, Hoyt and Ernest Kilpatrick, sisters; Vera Altman, Hazel Adams, Kathryn Bowman, Glenda Westmoreland and Alene Crow.
His funeral service will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist No. 1 in Boaz. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Rev. Randy Knott and Rev. Bruce Campbell will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Mason Rogers, Clay Kilpatrick, Davis Kilpatrick, Kyle Williams, Joe Hamilton and Devin Buchheister. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Wayne Roden, Billy Ray Young, Jimmy Kinney and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at Albertville Memorial Chapel from 5 until 8.
