Shirley Burleson, age 83, of Hamilton, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 06, 2021 at Sunset Manor Nursing Home. She was born in Hamilton, Alabama on Thursday, May 19, 1938 to Raymon Avery and Loie Riddle Williford Avery.
A graveside service will be Thursday, 11 a.m. October 07, 2021 at Hamilton Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymon and Loie Avery: brother, Clyde Avery (wife, Shirley).
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 67 years, Billy Gray Burleson; children, Kathy Peoples, Mickey Burleson (wife, Cindi), Dr. Michael Burleson (wife, Victoria), Rodney Burleson (wife, Marshia ); grandchildren, Amy Peoples, Nick Peoples, Tabitha Turner (husband, Cliff), Bridget Maxell (husband, Daryll), Ben Burleson (wife, Lyndsee),Anthony Burleson, Sophia Burleson; great-grandchildren, Madison Turner, Sadie Turner, Fayrn Maxell, Kohen Maxell, Lily Burleson; siblings, Johnny Avery (wife, Mahala), Bryce Avery, Shelba Wooldridge (husband, Dwight); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
