Peggy Barrett, 73, passed away on September 24, 2021, at her home in Lexington, Tennessee.
Born in Texas to Rudolph James, and Nancy Gwendolyn Welch, Peggy had a full and interesting life. She was well traveled, having lived in many different states in the U.S., and she also spent several years in England and Germany. Peggy loved antiquing and collecting quilts.
In lieu of a funeral service, the family will honor Peggy’s wishes for cremation and to have her ashes scattered on Pikes Peak in Colorado.
Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Michael Barrett; daughters, Tammy Khan (husband Zia) of Guyton, GA, and Nicole Wright of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren: Rebecca Derico of San Antonio, TX, Scott Wright of Pueblo, CO, Justin Wright of Windsor, CO; and granddog, Petunia; sister, Deborah Himmel of Wildersville, TN.
