Doug Joyner, 61, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021, in Lexington. Mr. Joyner was born March 26, 1960, in Davidson County, Tennessee,to the late Glenn Douglas and Patsy Evans Joyner. He was a retired truck driver for Shipper’s Choice.
Mr. Joyner is survived by his wife Amanda (Dupree) Joyner; three sons: Brian Joyner, Bobby Cox, III, and Wesley Cox (Nicholas, Nimerichter); a daughter, Chasity Hampton (Ralph); and three grandchildren: Evan Matherly, Eli Matherly, and Dakota Hampton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Molly Renee Joyner, and a brother, Dale Joyner.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends on Saturday, September 25, 5:00-9:00; Sunday, 9:00-9:00; Monday, 9:00 until time of service. A private burial will be held at a later date.
