Carol “Joyce” Amerson, 75, of Trinity, gained her angel wings on September 23, 2021. She passed away unexpectedly at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born on September 2, 1946 to Louie and Edith McCaray.
Ms. Joyce loved the lord, loved to sing, read and spend time with her family.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; her husband- James Amerson; sisters- Margie, Dot; brothers- Jessie, Tommy; sons- Johnny, James; 2 infant daughters and her grandson James William Whited.
She is survived by her siblings- Irene Odonnell, Lorene Dabbs (David), Linda Oliver (Jessie).
Children- Danny (Kim), George (Francine), Cindy (Relay), Samantha (Keith), Sherry, Mary and Ronald
Grandchildren- Tony (Rachael), Thomas, Amanda, Kristen, Jessica, Jamie (Tim), Misty, Benjamin, Blake, Paige (Austin), Allen, Amie, Kirstie (Buddy), Joseph (Anna Mae), Brian (Keilah), Jakob, Andrew, Haley, Robert, Alex, Destiny, and Johnny Whited Jr.
Great grandchildren- Hunter, Abbigail, Phebe, Gage, JB, Mason, Brodie, AJ, Brogan, Carter, Allyson, Kody, Sophia, Alexandria, Jaxon, Bradlee, Sunni, Chaseton, Emily, Madalyne, Ryelin, Aubrie, Carter, Kai, Jase, Rosalei, Matthew Hunter, Alyssa and Mariah.
A slew of nieces and nephews, and ton of kids and grandkids adopted in love.
Ms. Joyce’s services will be September 27, 2021 at parkway funeral home. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with services following being officiated by Mrs. Melinda Mears a dear friend.
The family wants to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses at Decatur Morgan Hospital for all their time and dedication to Ms. Joyce.
