Charles "Chuck" Robert Baker Charles “Chuck” Robert Baker, 59, of Huntsville, AL passed away on September 17, 2021, after years of decline from early onset dementia. Born in Montgomery, AL on December 30, 1962, Chuck attended high school at Trinity Presbyterian in Montgomery and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Accounting and later earned his CPA. He worked for many years as a corporate accountant and assistant controller for several companies including Sanmina/SCI in Huntsville until his dementia made it impossible to continue in that role and he retired. After that his beloved wife of 19 years, Felicia Simmons Baker, worked from home and cared for him until his condition began to quickly deteriorate. He was admitted to in-patient care with Hospice Family Care where he passed away peacefully about a week later.

Chuck was full of life and enjoyed many hobbies and pastimes. He loved music, blues and jazz especially, enjoyed driving his convertible and going on trips with Felicia and the rest of the family. But above all, he had a big heart and was perpetually looking for ways to help others in any way he could.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Maxine and Charlie Baker of Montgomery, AL, and his brother, Andy, also of Montgomery. He is survived by his wife, Felicia Simmons Baker; brother-in-law, Rex Simmons and his wife, Elizabeth; and three daughters from his previous marriage, Emma Baker, Molly Baker Mitchell and her husband Andrew, and Cloe Baker.

His memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Weatherly Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, AL with Dr. David Freeman officiating. His remains will be cremated and inurned in a private family ceremony at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in memory of Chuck to the Dementia Society of America by mail to P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901, or online (https://www.dementiasociety.org/).
