Huntsville funeral service for Mrs. Iola Scott Jones, a native of Huntsville, will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home (2411 Memorial Parkway N ~ Huntsville, AL). Interment will follow in Northside Cemetery (1715 Jordan Lane NW – Huntsville, AL).

First born of Idora Langford Scott Ford and Eddie Lee Scott (both remarried and deceased), sibling of Lois Narcisse, Alicia Moore (deceased 2004) (Billy), Queen Lambert (deceased 2020), Carl Ford (deceased 2017) (Shirley), Willard Scott, Eddie Scott, Jr., Marshall Lee, and Ray Scott.

Wife of Clarence L. Jones, b.k.a. “Ranzo” (deceased 2011)

Mother of: Marsha Jones-Williams, Cynthia Hunt, Kelly Jones, and Heather Jones.

Grandmother of: Jessica Hunt, Derrick Smith, Trenton Hunt, Bryon Hunt, Alana Collins, Haleigh Harrison, and Ryleigh Harrison.

Great-grandmother of: Jaeda Hunt, Jamel Hunt, Darnell Howard, Davion Hunt, Tyler Hunt, Riquan Dunklin, Rikari Dunklin, and Kaden Dunklin.

Nurturer and teacher of hundreds of students over a 32-year career at Grissom High School (Huntsville, Alabama), Worth County High School, Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School, Albany High School, Dougherty High School, and Westover High School. She also taught courses at Albany State University.

Iola attended William H. Councill High School, Alabama A&M University, and Albany State University.

Iola joined church at age 16 where Iola later learned the true meaning of discipleship of the auspice of Pastor Rodney Jackson after an invitation of a dear friend, Dora Wilson-Jefferson.
