Judith Barnes  Judith Barnes (Judy), age 77, of Hamilton, Alabama, after a short, private battle with cancer, passed away on Monday September 20, 2021 at Nmmc-Tupelo. She was born in Alabama to Bert Wilson and Ruth Emerson Wilson. She was a selfless, giving, kind-hearted, and humble person. She loved her family, being an educator, listening and helping others, and nature. She had a child-like spirit that was fascinated with wildlife, birds, stray animals, and Christmas. It wasn’t unusual to hear Christmas Carols coming from her wall clock throughout the year. She was quick with a smile and generous with her kindness and warmth for those who needed it. She always made time for those who were struggling or needing someone to lend a kind ear. She never wanted to burden anyone with her own struggles. Above all, Judy loved God. Her life was spent in service to her family and to others living the example set by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by many as she was loved by everyone who knew her.

A Memorial service and family visitation will be Friday September 24, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. at Marion County Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Ruth Wilson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Garrett Barnes; daughters, Traude Ray (Rick), Monique Solorzano (Casey); brothers, Don Wilson, John Wilson (Janna); and a host of other family and friends.

Marion County Funeral Home will assist the family.
