David Allen Daugherty, age 75, of Athens, Alabama passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021. He was born in Boonesville, Indiana on May 28,1946 to Andrew and Hettie Main Daugherty
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Daugherty.
David leaves behind his loving wife Bonnie Daugherty, daughters Jenny Tipton (Tim) and Tammy Brown, and sons David Daugherty and Allen Daugherty. He also leaves behind his sister, Sandy Brown, brother Harry Daugherty, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
David was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church. His passion was working with his horses. He was a retired Master Sergeant in the Marines. He also retired from USPS.
Visitation for David will be Saturday, September 25,2021 from 10:00AM until 12:00PM at Wooley Springs Baptist Church. There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, September 25,2021 at 12:00PM following at the church. Brother Tony Boyles will be officiating.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home is assisting the family.
