Danville Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident

DANVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a single-vehicle accident that happen on Sunday, September 19 that has resulted in the death of one person:

“A single-vehicle crash at approximately 7:10 a.m. Sunday, September 19, has claimed the life of a Danville man.

Skipper Smith, 53, was fatally injured when the 1999 Chevrolet Blazer he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. He was not using a seatbelt, was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on South Johnson Chapel Road, approximately two miles south of Danville.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
