William Nathan Pinkard, age 67 of Hackleburg, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Pinkard was born on June 15, 1954 in Missouri. Nathan was a loyal member at Living Faith Pentecostal Church of God. He worked for Piggly Wiggly of Haleyville for 44 years and was loved by many. Nathan loved his family and never met a child he didn’t love.

Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday September 18, 2021. Brother Jeremiah Desiderio and Brother Gary Wakefield will officiate. Burial will be at Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Phil Campbell, Alabama.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Pinkard; son, Adam (Diana) Pinkard; daughter, Stephanie Sawyer; grandchildren, Emma Sawyer, Blake Sawyer, Grant Pinkard, and Ayden Pinkard; stepdaughters, Stephanie Cole, and Savanna Cole; stepgrandchildren, Summer Miller, Colby Gunnin, and Kendall Gattis; great grandchildren, Tinley Miller, Kezmai Miller, Copelan Miller, and Lawson Miller; and sisters, Laura Pinkard, Marie Garrison, Buner Weeks, Juanita Wood, and Mary “Joyce” Cary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Luther Pinkard and Jessie Lee Bell Pinkard; brothers, Rex Pinkard, and Eugene Pinkard; sisters, Donnie Pinkard, Margret Moore, Lear Feltman, Earlene Claxton, Doris Thompson, and Clara Mae Petigo.
