Robert Henry Lisauckis

Robert Henry Lisauckis, 66, passed away Aug. 28 at Crestwood Hospital. He was born in Eglin AFB in Florida in 1955.

He was a quiet, gentle man who was devoted to his family. In his younger years, he enjoyed flying small airplanes. In later years, he went to many airshows to satisfy his love of airplanes. Robert was an avid Alabama football fan. He attended several games but mostly watched their games on tv. In the past few years, he and Rhonda travelled to Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park and Sequoia National Park to see our beautiful country. He spent most of his spare time with his family and they cherished long walks and bike rides together.

He married Rhonda Boedeker in 1975 in Austin, TX. Robert graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station in 1977. He moved his family to Huntsville in 1987. From 1996 to the present, he drove a school bus for Huntsville City Schools. He logged many miles in Bus #6.

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda, his son, Chris (wife-Destinee) of Starkville, MS; brothers Tony (wife-Glenda) of San Antonio, Raymond (wife-Barbara) of Burleson, TX, Frank (wife-Kathy) of Round Rock, TX and sister, Anna Mae of Glen Rose, TX.; and grandson, Levi.

A private service will be held at Berryhill Funeral Home Friday, Sept. 17 with burial following at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
