Robert Harley Burns, 73 of Madison, AL passed away August 28, 2021. He was born February 6, 1948 to Robert Renwick Burns and Laraine Rollins Derr in Albany, OR and raised in New York. Mr. Burns served in the Vietnam era in the U. S. Army and played with HAM radio from 11 years old K4RHB. He was a pilot and loved to fly and enjoyed riding motorcycles.
Mr. Burns is survived by his wife Cathy Burns; sons Robert E. Burns (Stephanie) and Anthony Burns; step son Brad Staples (Dionne); mother Laraine Derr; step father David Derr; grandchildren Robbie Burns and Maddie Burns; brother Terry Burns; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother Alan Dale Burns.
Memorial service will be Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at The Grove Baptist Church.
