It is with great sadness, that we announce the passing of Iva Lee Legg on September 5, 2021 at her place of residence. Mrs. Legg was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was born March 22, 1940 in Franklin County, Alabama. Iva Lee lived in this area her entire life. She was a homemaker and mother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James Autry Legg; parents, Roy Levi Harris and Leoni A. Alexander Harris; brothers, Leroy, Levi, Leo and Lelon and sister, Annie Lee Harris Fleener.
She is survived by her children, Dwight Legg of Hamilton, AL and Cynthia Yvonne Legg Knight of Redmond, OR; brother, Leon Harris; grandchildren, Bradley Curtis and James Lukas Bailey; great grandchild, Boyd Autry Curtis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where the service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Brother Larry Plunkett will officiate. Burial will follow at Ashbank Cemetery in Nauvoo.
