Cathie Bourne, 70, of Saulsbury, departed this life Tuesday, July 20th at her home in Grand Valley Lakes.
She was born Sunday, March 11, 1951, in Middleton, daughter of the late Walter Emergean Howell and Mittie Marie Cox Howell and lived all of her life here. She was a truck driver and factory worker, her last employment being with Roger Henson Trucking. She married Richard Bourne on January 7, 1984 and enjoyed traveling, going to church, planting flowers and small gardens, being around her grandchildren and just life in general. She was a very active member of Porters Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, Shane Bourne (Lauren) of Murfreesboro; a step son, Ricky Carl Bourne of Glasgow, KY; three brothers, Rickie David Howell (Pam) of Middleton, Tommy Gene Howell (Mary) of Henderson and Terry Wayne Howell (Peggy) of Middleton; and 2 grandchildren, Ellie Jan Bourne and Jere Lynn Bourne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, LaWanda Vickers in 2018. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Porters Creek Baptist Church.
