Billye G. GuthrieBillye G. Guthrie known to most as “Roho”, age 73, of New Hope, Alabama passed away peacefully at Marshall Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Guntersville, Alabama on Monday evening.

Roho was preceded in death by his parents Malen Henderson Guthrie and Tommie Jean Stephens as well as his son Bradley Heth Guthrie. He is survived by his son BJ Guthrie of Atlanta, Georgia.

Roho spent the younger years of his life riding bulls for fun, and then spent the rest of his life as a Truck Driver hauling cattle and then working for various other trucking companies throughout his life. His favorite activities were watching rodeos and old Western movies on the TV and chewing his tobacco.

His son, BJ, would like to recognize the exceptional caregivers at Terrace Lake Assisted Living and later at Marshall Manor Nursing and Rehab Center in Guntersville who took such good care of him and who protected his safety throughout the COVID Pandemic.

A private, gravesite burial was held at Whitaker Cemetery in New Hope, Alabama on Friday, June 18, 2021.
