Cooter Elrod Cooter Elrod, 75, passed away peacefully at his residence Thursday May 13, 2021
He was retired from the Guntersville Electric Board and was one of the original members who started Nixon Chapel Volunteer Fire Department. He always loved his family and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Glenda McCollum Elrod, son Jeff Edward Elrod (Rena), daughter Kelly Minette Waldrop (Wally), grandsons Wesley O’Neal Waldrop (Haley), and Jake Lawson (Kara), granddaughter Macy Grace Elrod, great grandsons McCollum (Mack) O’Neal Waldrop and Grady Chandler Waldrop, and Hunter Lawson, Great Granddaughter Kimber Lawson, brothers Jody Elrod (Joan) and James (Cowboy) Elrod, and sisters Wanda Pledger, Sheridan Edmonds (Johnny), Charlene Stone (David), Tina Taylor, Cynthia Bizarth (Chuck), and Donna Cochran. Preceded in death by his father and mother Charlie and Bonita Rice Elrod, brother James Thomas Elrod, and sister Mary Elrod Whitaker.
