Mrs. Betty Louise Taylor Bergthal, age 82, passed away peacefully Friday May 14, 2021 at her residence, from a short illness. Betty was born in Albany, KY on December 17, 1938 to the late Oscar and Emma Wood Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of Spencer Church of God.
Betty was preceded in death by her hushand; Thomas Bergthal Sr., daughter; Chara Brymer, brothers; Walter Taylor and Newman “Bud” Taylor, in-laws; Nancy Taylor and H. B. Hardin.
Betty is survived by her loving family, sons; Ernest (Carrie) Bergthal of Crossville, Thomas (Amanda) Bergthal Jr. of Spencer, daughters; Cathy Abbot and Lisa Wilkinson both of Spencer, sister; Mary Hardin of Tustan, CA, grandchildren; Jessica, David, Jacquita, Sandy, Donna, Chatsworth, Erica, Buddy and Brayden, great-grandchildren; Kara, Hunter, Ariana, Breeanna, Jaden, Cheyenne, Logan, Isiah, Kaden and Phoenix.
Funeral services will be held Sunday May 16, 2021 at 3:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Jason Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation hours are Sunday 10:00am till time of service at 3:00pm.
