Melissa Gail West, age 69, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Saturday, May 08, 2021 at her residence.
Gail worked for many years as a RN at Russellville Hospital. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert “Cotton” & Lula Chambers; siblings, James Chambers, Shirley Quillen, Bertha Elledge, and John Chambers.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 37 years, Wayne West; daughter, Tammy Hodge Willis; son, Brian Hodge; grandchildren, Emaree Gail Willis, Caleb Willis; special niece, Teresa Alsbrooks (husband, David); special great-nephew, Clint Duncan; and multiple other nieces & nephews, and a host of friends.
The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of North Alabama Hospice, also to Teresa Alsbrooks, Cindy Walker, and Libby DeVaney for the love and care of Gail.
The family invites the immediate family and friends to a time of visitation at her residence on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
