Ms. Carolyn Betty KirklandMs. Carolyn Betty Kirkland of Arab, Alabama; passed away peacefully in the early hours of Thursday – April 29, 2021 at the age of 76 years.
Ms. Kirkland was born on December 20, 1944 in Jasper, Alabama to the late James Berley Powell and Ruby Estelle Rambo Powell. She attended the Union Grove First Baptist Church and enjoyed life’s littlest pleasures such as; flowers, camping, dining out and traveling. She loved people and life and cherished the moments she spent with her family.
Ms. Kirkland will be forever remembered by her son, Michael Smith (Gina); step-daughters, Stacey Warren (Randall) and DeeDee Ellis (Todd); brother-in-law, Rodger Gibson; sisters, Jean Womack (Dan) and Diana Brooks (Michael); grandchildren, Tyler Ellis, Chelsey Black (Seth) and Kaylee Warren; great grandchild, Emma Ellis and special friend, Herschel Jackson.
In addition to her beloved parents; Ms. Kirkland is at last reunited with her beloved husband, Verbon Loez Kirkland and sister, Joan Gibson.
A visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday – May 1, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Funeral service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday – May 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Greg Narrell, officiating.
Interment will follow services at the Brookwood Cemetery.
