Maedeen Mitchell Thompson, 93, died Thursday, April 29, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Franklin County, AL, was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved flowers and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be Sunday, May 2, at 4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. Jerry Humphries and Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her children – Patricia Lee “Pat” Wright, Linda Kay Humphres (Wade) and Annette Humphries (Jerry); grandchildren – Chris Wright (Leslie), Stephanie Williams (Brett), Amanda Nichols (Patrick), Jonathan Humphres (Haley), Cassondra Chamblee (Trevor Nichols) Veronica Strickland (Greg) and Daniel Humphries (Haley) and great-grandchildren – Lily Wright, Annaliese Rogers, Ally Williams, Shelby Nichols, Marley Chamblee, Max Wright, Jayden Pearson, Justin Humphres, Colton Chamblee, Preston Pearson, Canaan Nichols, Baylor Humphries, Keegan Strickland, Blaklei Pounds, Kila Williams, Luke Williams and Lexi Lynn Nichols.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Lee Thompson, her parents, Marion and Maudie Lee Holland Mitchell, infant twin brother and sister, two sisters, Johnnie Mitchell and Marvalene Ham and one brother, Winsol Mitchell.

Pallbearers will be Chris Wright, Brett Williams, Patrick Nichols, Jonathan Humphres, Trevor Nichols, Greg Strickland and Daniel Humphries.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 1, 6-9 p.m. and Sunday, May 2, 1-4 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
