Rowe William LindleyRowe William Lindley, age 88, of Vina, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 at his residence.

Rowe met the love of his life, Bea Williams, and they were united in marriage on a cold Valentine’s Day in Fulton Mississippi in 1953. Soon after he was called to serve his nation in the U.S. Army. When he returned home from the Army, he began his career in banking at Bank of Red Bay, First National Bank, and later Colonial Bank. He worked up his career from being a loan officer to Vice President when he retired after 33 years of banking. He loved his family and being involved in their lives. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, doing yard work, and watching western movies. He and his wife, Bea, was active members of Red Bay Church of Christ. Rowe and Bea enjoyed over 66 years together. He missed her terribly after her death and now is reunited with his sweetheart.

He was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Beatrice Williams Lindley; great-granddaughter, Lizabeth Joy Coats; parents, Robert & Lutie (Hagood) Lindley; and several brothers and sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Becky Nichols (Alan), Celia Carlton (Marvin); grandchildren, Beth Nichols, Zak Coats (Katrina), Chase Coats (April), Erica Nichols Richie (Michael), Josh Coats (Britni), Mark Carlton; 9 great-grandchildren, brothers, Charles Lindley (Carolyn), Paulman Lindley (Faye); and a host of nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be 11:00 Saturday, May 01, 2021 at Dempsey Cemetery. Bro. Scott Webster will speak at the service.

The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of North Alabama and to the many friends
