William David “Dave” Lomenick, 62, of Iuka, MS passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. He enjoyed fishing with his grandfather when he was a child and eating his grandmothers cooking, especially her potato salad. In his younger years, he loved to play baseball, football, and basketball. He was the top center field catcher in his league. In his later years, he fell in love with the 60’s revolution. He is survived by his family at the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home; his mother, Bettye Metts Sims; his daughter, Chelsea Lomenick; his sister, Debbie Manen; his brother, Douglas Lomenick (Yvette); his aunts, Bonnie Petttie (Curtis) and Paula Walsh; his grandfather, Talmadge Hodges; and the mother of his child, Lisa Corey. He was preceded in death by his father, Joel Lomenick; his step father, Larry Sims; and his uncle, Steven Walsh. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Donations may be made in Dave’s honor to the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home.
