Myrtle Gennety Chapman Myrtle Gennety Chapman, 95, passed from this life to be with Jesus on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab in Mount Pleasant, TN.

Myrtle was born on July 04, 1925, in Ollie Field, TN to Hugh and Meddie Copous McWilliams.

She was married to the late John Aaron Chapman who passed away in 1976. She had been a resident at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab for the past 2 years. She was a member of Halls Chapel Church of Christ. She worked at NHC Healthcare in Columbia, TN until she retired. She enjoyed having a garden and making homemade quilts.

Myrtle Is preceded in death by her parents; her husband: John Aaron Chapman; daughter: Geneva White; son: Wayne Chapman; sisters: Dorthy Carr, Ocie Workman, Blanche Whitehead; brothers: Buck McWilliams, Elzo McWilliams, Frank McWilliams, Jay McWilliams.

Her surviving children are Billy (Kim) Chapman of Gidding Texas and Jane (Darin) Kennedy of Mt. Pleasant, TN. She has one surviving brother: Riley McWilliams. Grandchildren: Scotty Kennedy, Eric Chapman, Emily Phillips, Crystal Chapman, Cory Chapman, Wayne White, Tammy Lovett, Bryant White, Aaron Chapman, Morgan Chapman; several great-grandkids and several great-great-grandkids; several nieces and nephews.

A very special thank you to each and everyone at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab, for every day you took care of my mom and especially the year of covid. Also thanks to Dr. Couch for being her doctor for so many years. Thank you Avalon Hospice for your time spent with mom.

Her family will be receiving friends and family on Monday, April 19, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Mt.Pleasant, TN. A service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, starting at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest following the service at Polk Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are: Scotty Kennedy, Mason Kennedy, Wayne White, Bryant White, Corey Chapman, Aaron Chapman.

Honorary Pallbearers: All employees at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the activity department at Mt. Pleasant Health and Rehab.

Williams Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
