Three Arrested After Assault and Attempting To Elude Police In Limestone County

LIMESTONE COUNTY-On Friday, April 16 the Limestone County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement concerning the arrest of two men and a woman who are suspects assault case and attempting to elude:

“On April 13, 2021, Limestone County Sheriff’s Office (“LCSO”) received a report regarding an assault that occurred at a residence on Wallace Lane, of a 69-year-old male. Following the assault, an attempted robbery occurred on an individual that was also located in the residence. After a thorough investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for Ian Van Hunter and Jonathan Colby Parsons.
On April 14, 2021, Jonathan Colby Parsons, after fleeing in a stolen vehicle and creating a foot pursuit, which included LCSO and Limestone County Correctional Facility K-9 Unit, was apprehended.

On April 15, 2021, LCSO approached a residence, located on Highway 99 in the Cartwright community, to

serve the arrest warrant on Ian Van Hunter. As LCSO attempted to gain entrance to the residence, Hunter and a female subject, later identified as Gannon Ezell Curtis-Seago, exited the back of the residence and fled on foot. After an extensive 4-hour foot pursuit, that included LCSO, Limestone County Correctional Facility K-9 Unit, and LCSO’s Aviation Unit, both Hunter and Curtis-Seago were apprehended.

Ian Van Hunter, 35 of Athens, has been charged with Attempting to Elude a Police Officer, Assault 2nd, and Robbery 1st. Hunter is being held in the Limestone County Detention Center and no bond has been set at this time.

Stolen Property 1st, and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. Parsons is being held in the Limestone County Detention Center and no bond has been set at this time.

Gannon Ezell Curtis-Seago, 38, of Athens, has been charged with Attempting to Elude a Police Officer and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Curtis-Seago is being held in the Limestone County Detention Center and no bond has been set at this time.”
