James Denville Howell James Denville Howell, age 92, of Pocahontas, Tennessee, passed away on April 12, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was born on January 13, 1929. He was the son of the late Benny Howell and Elgie Stepp of Bolivar. He graduated from Bolivar High School in 1949. He served in Korea in the US Army from 1953-55 and was an active member of Pocahontas First Baptist Church.

James Denville was retired from Kimberly Clark Corporation in Memphis after 36 years. He was escorting funerals in Memphis on his Harley Davidson motorcycle when he met his wife while she was riding her Honda 50. They decided to stop for coffee and then enjoyed a marriage of 55 years. He enjoyed time with his family, riding his tractor and bull-dozer and visiting with friends and neighbors at local restaurants.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Trumble Howell of Pocahontas; his sister, Inez Knutson (Obie) of Gulfport, MS; his brother, Eldon Howell (Mary) of Minden, LA; a daughter, Nancy White (Tom) of Middleton; a son, J.D. Howell, Jr. (Barbara) of Pocahontas; a daughter, Judy Lynn Yancey (J.D.) of Pocahontas; and a son, George (Laurie) of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
