Graveside services for Mr. Edward L. Pierce, age 92, will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Union Grove Cemetery in Kenton, TN. All services will follow the appropriate social distancing protocols, with face masks required, as set forth by the CDC and state of Tennessee.
Mr. Pierce passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Dyer Nursing Home.
Mr. Pierce was a retired farmer, an avid hunter and fisherman, served in the U. S. Navy as a Seabee, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mr. Pierce is preceded in death by his parents, Earl A. Pierce, Sr. and Bettie Hargrove Pierce; a half brother, Harry L. Badger; and a brother, Sherrill Pierce.
Mr. Pierce is survived by five siblings, Earl Allen Pierce, Jr. and wife Ruth, Janet King, Polk Andrew Pierce, Frank D. Pierce and wife Charlotte, and Brenda Kasun; by six nieces, Sandra Melton, Rita Cooper, Marilyn Lynch, Sherry Page, Cindy Hicks, and Shelia Ervin; seven nephews, Daniel King, Gary King, Kenny King, Matt Kasun, Keith Pierce, Mark Kasun, and Timothy Pierce.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Jude in Memphis, TN.
