Eugene Talmadge Compton, 87, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday, April 11th.
Mr. Compton was a native of Atlanta, GA and a resident of Madison County since 1962. He retired from NASA in 2000 with 36 years of service and was also a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Compton; three sons, Eugene T. Compton, Jr. (Rita), Richard William Compton (Laura), and Thomas Christopher Compton (Victoria); and nine grandchildren, Kristina Compton, Karla Compton, Amy Baker, Richard Compton, Shelby Albert, Colton Albert, Alaina Hart, Diana Compton, and Olivia Hanline.
Memorial service will be held Sunday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Susan Parker officiating.
