He is also survived by his grandchildren: Lisa Brewer (Bobby), Nicole Yates (Ryan), Samantha O”Brien (Matt), David Dykstra (Cheyenne), Heather Dystra (Luke), Tiffany Steinacher, Shannon King, Victoria Nemeth (Alex), Travis Steinacher, SPC Tyler Hatfield, Amanda Hatfield, Chris Hatfield (John), Kayla Bonner (James), Whitney Murray ((Steven), Joshua Clingingsmith, and Jaxon Clingingsmith; and great grandchildren: Justin Palmer, Paisley Brewer, Matthew & Mikayla O”Brien, Ryli & Paityn Dystra, William Nemeth, Richard & Wyatt Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack & Ruby Mackee; sister, Joy Pierce; and grandson, Matthew Dystra.

Jack was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, a Master Mason, avid golfer, artist, theater buff, Havoc Hockey fan, adventurer, and jokester, who lived life to the fullest. He never missed an opportunity to share a smile, joke, or words of wisdom. Jack was the kind of guy who would show up when you least expected it and needed it most. He never met a stranger and treated everyone like a friend. There is a hole in the family that can never be filled; he will be dearly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriner’s Hospital in his name.  Donate to Shriner’s Hospital for Children@(lovetotherescue.org).
