On April 5th, 2021, Heaven opened its gates wide open for our beloved Wanda Greathouse McCoy. She was preceded in death by William Herbert McCoy (husband), Zada E. Greathouse (mother), Cadmus N Greathouse (father), J. Kenneth Greathouse (brother), A. Eugene Greathouse (brother) and survived by Dennis R. McCoy (Mary), Belinda M. Hall (Wesley), Angela M Burtram (Jerry), Misty McCoy (Al), Alecia Basenburg (Andrew), Michael McCoy, Holly Pate (Joe), Taylor Hall (Kristen), Blake Burtram (Emily), Ashley Burtram, Madison McCoy (Cody), Kristina Hall, Great Grandchildren: Skylar Sloan, Ryleigh Pate, Audrey Pate, Gracelyn Hagl and a host of other children she has cared for over the years. Wanda was the best type of Christian woman. The type that no matter what mistake we made, we absolutely knew we were loved. We knew we were forgiven, and we knew that she was praying for us. She made an impact on so many lives and was full of endless joy and love! She was a God fearing woman that displayed her continuous light on every person she came in contact with even if it was just with her smile. She had a deep love for anything that had to do with flowers or angels and taking care of others and a laugh that could light up and entire room with joy. New Temple Baptist church was her favorite place to be, sharing her Faith throughout in anything and everything she did. She was an anchor for her family and friends. She will be missed by so many, but we are rejoicing in knowing she is in Heaven with the Lord and Savior she loved so much. Services will be held at New Temple Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 6, 2021. Visitation from 5:30-7:00pm. Funeral service will begin at 7:00pm. Interment services in McCormack Cemetery will be private. Rev. J.J. Creel officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to New Temple Baptist Church building fund.
