Patricia Udene Haynes, 83, of Athens, AL, passed away on April 5, 2021 at her residence. Funeral Service will be Wednesday April 7, 2021, at 2 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Phillip Schrimsher officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday April 7, 2021 from 1- 1:45 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens. Mrs. Haynes was born January 17, 1938 in Jacksonville, Florida; to James Howard and Madge Blackwood Howard. She worked on the Redstone Arsenal for 33 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son Steven Haynes, and one brother Gary Howard. Mrs. Haynes was survived by her loving husband of almost 64 years Lee Haynes, Jr., three daughters Lynnese Schrimsher (Phillip) of Toney, AL; LaDonna McCafferty (Jeff) of Harvest, AL; and Rochelle Haynes (Edsel Hogan) of Harvest, AL; two sisters Phyllis Anderson of New Hampton, Iowa; and Jennifer Stewart (Bobby) of Decatur, AL; two brothers Jimmy Howard (Nancy) of Decatur, AL; and Ronnie Howard (Jane) of Decatur, AL; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Doug Haynes, Keith Kennedy, Dale Borden, Michael Blackmon, Abby Flores, and Christopher Mooney.
