Somerville Man Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident

HILLSBORO-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reported a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Monday, April 5 that has taken the life of one person:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday, April 5, has claimed the life of a Somerville man.

Antonio Cowley, 55, was killed when the 2002 Honda Shadow he was operating attempting to move into the right lane, lost control, ran off the roadway and struck a culvert. Cowley sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a Huntsville hospital. He succumbed to those injuries and was pronounced deceased by the hospital staff.

The crash occurred two miles east of Hillsboro on Alabama 20 at the 58 mile marker. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
