Thelma South Wiggins, age 91, of Ethridge, TN passed away Saturday, March 27, 2021, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She was a native of Cobb County, GA, retired from Dura Automotive Systems, and of the Church of God Faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Harriet Hughes Webb; her first husband, Luke South; her second husband, Lawson Wiggins; two sons, Charles South and Gene South; and 10 brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one daughter, Dana Brewer (Bill) of Leoma, TN; one son, Brian South of Lawrenceburg, TN; nine grandchildren, Mandy Burleson (David), Will South, Shane South (Lisa), Joey Brewer (Chase), Jacob Brewer (Jessica), Clint Brewer (Brook), Shea McGill (Jo), Brian South, Jr., and Brianna Maldonado (Sammy); thirteen great-grandchildren, Jenna Isbell, Anniston Brewer, Jayce Smith, Kayzlie Brewer, Jocie Brewer, Chasin South, Crimson South, Chloe South, Chevy Maldonado, Isaiah McGill, Adalee McGill, Tana Burleson, and Quincy Burleson; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens at 1:30 PM Tuesday, March 30, 2021, with Billy Beal officiating.
