Davin Arthur Pillar, the son of Mr. William and the late Judi Pillar Bowens of Tuscumbia, Alabama, was born February 18, 1981. He departed this earthly life on March 13, 2021 after becoming ill.

Davin was raised in Tuscumbia, Alabama and attended Tuscumbia City Schools where he participated in football and basketball at Deshler High School and Tuscumbia Recreation Center. He grew up in First Missionary Baptist Church of Sheffield, Alabama and was active in the youth group, youth choir, and usher board. He had a love for music, adventures, and he lived to make people laugh with his off-the-wall jokes and his sense of humor. He could crack a joke whether he was happy, sad, or in pain, to help lighten everyone’s mood.

He had a very special talent of drawing and he loved to dress from head-to-toe. Davin moved and spent his adult life in Decatur, AL where he became affectionately known as “Flossy D”. He never met a stranger, and everyone seemed to know who he was.

In 2020, Davin dedicated his life to Jesus Christ and though illness came upon him, he continued to keep a positive outlook and a love of life and laughter until the end. He will be sorely missed by his four sons, his family, his friends, and all who knew and loved him.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, a loving and devoted girlfriend, Ms. Tiffany Malone of Decatur, AL, four sons, Javen Pillar of Florence, AL, Takyrie Malone, Tamarion Malone, and TaDyn Malone, all of Decatur, AL, father, William Bowens of Tuscumbia, AL, four sisters, Ashleigh Bowens of Florence, AL, Blair Woods (Geoffrey) of Muscle Shoals, AL, Courtnei Bowens of Huntsville, AL, and Erin Bowens of Nashville, Tennessee, one granddaughter, Miss Javea Pillar of Florence, AL, two special friends/brothers, Lonnell Hankins of Tuscumbia, AL,
Reginald Freeman of Muscle Shoals, AL, one nephew, two nieces, a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
