Funeral service for Mrs. Annie Ruth Arnold, age 80 of Kelso, TN will be conducted at 2 PM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Bro. John Ben Neal and Bro. Kenneth Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12 PM until time of service on Thursday at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Ruth was born on May 31, 1940 in Hazel Green, AL to the late Herman Hobbs and Margaret Pigg. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. When she wasn’t caring for her family she enjoyed fishing at Lincoln Lake and shopping for hidden treasures in thrift stores. She was a plain spoken person whose favorite saying was “If you don’t want your feelings hurt, don’t wear them on your sleeve in my house”, which she meant with love and affection. Ruth loved the Lord with all of her heart and believed in salvation for everyone, she went about her daily life sharing with others the plan of salvation, even during her last days in the hospital. Ruth passed away on March 8, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Arnold left behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Teddy Arnold; daughters, Wanda (Tony) Boyd, Denise (Terry) Mills, Angela (John) Farrell, and Jan Brazier; son, Kirk (Kim) Arnold; grandchildren, Amber (Ben) Isenhower, Josh (Kim) Brazier, Trent (Janessa) Mills, Cara Brazier, Celia Farrell, Maura Kate Farrell, and Kaleb Arnold; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth Hobbs, Phillip Hobbs, and Debra (Ken) Kelley; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Mark Hobbs, J.E. Hobbs, Terry Hobbs, John Hobbs, Pamela Hobbs, and Geneva Self; and grandson, Justin Brazier.
