It has pleased our Almighty God to summon home His good and faithful servant Mary Jeanne Stoudnour on Sunday, March 7, 2021.
Mary Jeanne was born to Nick and Mary Prokop on August 20, 1939 in Conway, Pennsylvania.  She attended school in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania where she met her husband of 61 years Kay Stoudnour.  Mary Jeanne was a devoted wife to Kay, a loving mother to her daughters and son-in-law Mary Kay, Tracy, Rebecca, and Glenn, a doting grandmother to her grandsons Nick and Noah, and a dear sister to her brother and sister-in-law Tom and Kasey.
Mary Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Mary Prokop, and her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Betty Prokop.  She is survived by her husband Kay of Decatur, daughter and son-in-law Mary Kay and Glenn Hodges of Decatur, daughter Tracy Stoudnour of Decatur, daughter Rebecca King of Decatur, grandson Nick Hodges of Scottsdale, Arizona, grandson Noah King of Decatur, and brother and sister-in-law Tom and Kasey Prokop of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania.
Mary Jeanne faithfully served her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ throughout her life as a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Decatur.  She enjoyed participating in many of St. Paul’s ministries, especially the Lutheran Women in Mission.  She brought joy to all of those around her through her zest for life and compassion for others.
Due to health concerns for our community of friends, a family only memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s on Thursday, March 11, 2021.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request memorials be made in celebration of Mary Jeanne’s life to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the Father of Lights with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.
– James 1:17
