Maggie Arlene Hudson Funeral services for Maggie Arlene Hudson, 90, of Guntown, MS., are set for Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 11:00 am at Magnolia Funeral Home- East Chapel with interment in Magnolia Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, March 8, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 10:00 am until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel. Born October 31, 1930 in Booneville, MS, Maggie passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at her home in Guntown surrounded by her family. She was a retired telephone operator working for South Central Bell, Bell South and then ATT, her service spanned over 28 years. Maggie was a member of Jericho Baptist Church. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed scrapbooking, cooking, working word search puzzles and eating the sweets that Larry made for her. Maggie loved going to Music Country “Hoot-n-Nannie” to listen to country music. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends and family. She loved the Lord and the Lord knew Ms. Maggie. She is survived by her sons, Gary D. Hudson and wife Donna and Larry Hudson all of Guntown, MS and Erik T. Hamilton and wife Tracy of Booneville, MS; a very special person, who was the daughter she never had, Courtney Layne Pinkston and husband Jon of Hernando, TN; 6 grandchildren, Michael Lee Hudson and wife Salina, Holly Brooke Watson and husband Jason, Justin Eugene Terry and wife Ali, Codie Allen Fulks ,Kimberly Marie Jones and husband Dustin and Tyler Gage Hamilton; 8 great-grandchildren, Austin Cooper, Katelynn Calvary and husband Ben, Brittni Martin, Paislei Arlene Fulks, Mackenzie Jones, Bentley Jones, Neil Eugene Terry and Julie Anne Marie Terry; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Maggie is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Fred D. Hudson; father, Ward M. Davis; mother, Pinkie E. Davis; brother, Roy W. Davis and sisters, Bernice Huddleston and Margaret Ann Hamilton. Charlie Browning and Bro. Marvin Robbins will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Johnny King, Danny Meeks, Terrell Hudson, Roy York, Wayne Musgrove and Paul McReynolds. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
