Vifie Wilbanks A Celebration of Life service for Vifie Wilbanks, 82 of Walnut, MS, will be Friday, March 5, 2021 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment to follow at Community Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Walnut, MS. Rev. Tim Dixon, Rev. Jesse Cutrer and Rev. Merl Dixon will officiate the service. Visitation will be Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Friday, March 5, 2021 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Mrs. Wilbanks passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at her residence. She was born April 16, 1938 in Tippah County, MS to Noah Sargent and Atna Shaw Sargent Wood. She was a homemaker and was a member of West Corinth Tabernacle. She loved quilting, sewing, cooking and reading her Bible. Vifie is survived by her son, Kenneth Wilbanks and wife Sarah of Olive Branch, MS; her daughters, Mary Bumpas and husband Danny of Walnut, MS and Stephanie Wilbanks of Walnut, MS; 4 grandchildren, LaCosta Morphis, Kenneth Wilbanks (Lynn) ,Christy Wilbanks and Cortney Gilbreath (Trent); 8 Great Grandchildren, Jamison Wilbanks, Peyton Wilbanks, Collin Schreffler, Sarah Grace Schreffler, Matt Schreffler, Daeven Gilbreath, Breanna Jones and Jordan Nelson; her brother Ladrod Wood of Walnut, MS; her sister, Martha Mullins of Walnut MS; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Waymon Wilbanks; 2 great grandchildren, Will Schreffler and Mason Wilbanks; her parents, Noah Sargent and Atna Shaw Sargent Wood; her brother, Ozetha Sargent and her sister, Rayoma Beavers. Pallbearers will be Dustin Rogers, Jordan Nelson, Michael Nelson, Kendrick Jones, Cody Clanton and Audie Russell. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Vifie Wilbanks.
