Bobby Joe Smith, 84, died Monday, March 1, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Belmont, MS and was retired from Mueller Brass, Fulton, MS. He was a member of Red Bay Freewill Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Services will be Saturday, March 6, 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Bro. David Corum officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years – Betty Carolyn Strawbridge Smith, Red Bay, AL; four daughters – Lisa Carol Massey (Tim) Vina, AL, Tina Renee’ Smith (Tim “Boker”) Belmont, MS, Teresa Lynn Robinson (Andy) and Sheila Dianne Smith, both of Red Bay, AL; daughter dog – Georgia Faye Smith; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister – Judy Randolph and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved only son, David Joseph Smith; his parents, Jack and Estella Wigginton Smith; two sisters, Mavis Dickens and Louise Thompson and two brothers, Tommy Smith and Jackie Smith.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Massey, Harley Robinson, Ricky Garrison, Stan Scott, Michael White and Vander White. Honorary pallbearer will be Braxton Massey.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 6, 12-2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
