Ruth Parrish White Brown, age 94, resident of Lawrenceburg, passed away Friday evening at Countryside Health and Rehab.
Private family service will be held at a later date. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born January 1, 1927 in the mountains of Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James and Mamie Boles Parrish. Affectionally know by all as “Miss Ruth”, she worked most of her life in the clothing manufacturing industry and recently retired from Walmart, working in the lawn and garden center. She never met a stranger, and it was said that she could bring life back into older plants.
Miss Ruth is survived by her son: Dewy “Butch” White of Lawrenceburg; a brother: Gene Parrish of California; 5 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three of children: Gary White, Robert White and Betty Clayton.
