Funeral services for Mrs. Melda C. Scroggins, age 83, will be held at 2 pm Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow on Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 pm until 8 pm Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Shelton Funeral Home. All services will follow the appropriate social distancing protocols, with face masks required, as set forth by the CDC and state of Tennessee.
Mrs. Scroggins passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Diversicare of Martin.
Mrs. Scroggins was preceded in death by her parents, George and Ida B. Ray; her husband, Robert Scroggins; and by three brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Scroggins is survived by her daughter, Paula Reasons (Rick) of Gadsden, TN; her sons, Curtis Laman and Tim Laman and (Rosie) of Maury City, TN; grandchildren, Chris McHugh (Becky) of Gibson Wells, TN, Meagan Reasons of Bells, TN; Lane Laman (Sara) of Brownsville, TN, and Landon Laman of Maury City, TN; great grandchildren, Lucas Reasons and Reece Laman; two brothers; five sisters; and extended family.
