West Morgan Lady Rebels to Host Soccer Tournament at Jack Allen Recreation Complex March 5-6

Why Do Some People Call Football “Soccer”? | Britannica DECATUR – Next weekend, 24 high school soccer teams will make their way to the Jack Allen Recreation Complex for the annual River City Shoot-Out, a two-day soccer tournament sanctioned by the Alabama High School Athletic Association. Hosted by the West Morgan Lady Rebels, the competitive high school varsity soccer tournament is set for March 5-6, 2021.

The River City Shoot-out will be bracket play (eight team brackets) with all teams playing three matches. There will be two varsity boys divisions and one varsity girls division. Registration is closed and teams to compete in the girls division include Athens, Elkmont, East Limestone, Hazel Green, John Carroll Catholic, Lawrence County, Russellville and Sparkman. The boys division includes Athens, Buckhorn, Cullman, Decatur, Madison Academy, East Limestone, Hazel Green, Huntsville, Indian Springs, James Clemens, John Carroll Catholic, Lawrence County, Pelham, Vestavia, West Morgan and West Point.

Matches will be played on Friday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. and at 9:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 6. Admission is $5 per person on Friday and  $10 per person on Saturday.
