Funeral for Merlene Archer Reeves Kelsoe, 87, of Danville will be Thursday, February 25, 2021, at Valley Grove Baptist Church, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Wayne Turner officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery . Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Mrs. Kelsoe, who died Monday, February 22, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born, November 25, 1933, to James Bell Archer and Edna Mae Owens Archer. She was a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Husbands – John H. Reeves, Edward Kelsoe, son – Stephen “Steve” Reeves, brothers – Alton Archer, Willard Archer, sister – Bernice Crumley, step grandson – Ernest Killgore
Survivors include:
Sons – Jonathan (Laquitta) Reeves, Stanley Reeves
Daughters – Jennifer (Ed) Killgore, Kelly (David) Clark
Brother – Travis Archer
Sisters – Nettie Way, Neysa Higginbotham, Darlene Long, Barbara Gordon
12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jon Reeves, Jonah Reeves, Jordan Reeves, Matt Adams, MaGwuire Smith, Landon Aldridge.
The family request no flowers and donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and Shriners Hospital.
